Ybor Beer, originally known as Ybor City Brewing Company, was founded in Ybor City, Florida in 1993 by Humberto Perez. He added the Florida Beer brand in 2000, but sold both brands to Indian River Beverage Company in 2005, which promptly renamed to Florida Beer Company. Indian River, founded in 1997, was owned by Bruce and Duncan Holt, Jack Owen, James Nance, and Richard Bawey. In 2016, the company sold to Trinidad & Tobago’s Ansa McAL.
