Brasserie Brunehaut was founded in Rongy-Brunehaut, Belgium in 1890 by the widow Allard-Milhomme. It was originally known as Brasserie Saint Joseph until 1985, when it was renamed Brasserie Allard. When that company went bankrupt in 1991, it was purchased by Guy Valschaers and Marie-Christine Dujardin, who renamed it Brasserie Brunehaut. In 2006, it was again sold to Marc-Antoine de Mees.
