Moorhouse’s Brewery was founded in Burnley, England in 1978 by Michael Ryan. He purchased the premises of the Moorhouse’s Mineral Water company, which was founded in 1865 by William Moorhouse, and turned it into a brewery. In 1982, the company was sold to Alan Hutchinson. When he died in 1985, it was again sold to William Parkinson.
