Corsendonk Beer was created in Oud-Turnhout, Belgium in 1982 by Jef Keersmaekers, who was approached by the local tourism board to brew a beer to honor the city’s Priory of Corsendonk. Keersmakers partnered with Brasserie du Bocq to make the beer, and in 2010 the Keersmakers family began purchasing shares in the du Bocq brewery. In 2015, they became the sole owners of du Bocq.
