Ale Industries was founded in 2009 in Oakland, California by Morgan Cox. It’s Oakland’s oldest brewery, and is still independently owned. In 2021, Cox resigned as CEO, saying “the required management skills to keep our company happy and healthy still outpaced my abilities.” He was replaced by Yunyi Zhang as CEO.
