Front Street Brewing was founded in Davenport, Iowa in 1992 by Steve Zuidema and his wife Jenni Ash. Just after opening, Davenport was hit with major flooding, and the brewery was nearly ruined. Zuidema had to bring on Randy Gerstmann and Thomas, Michael, and Jeffrey Ingleby as investors. In 2016, the company was purchased by local student housing landlord Tim Baldwin, along with his business partners Patrick Sherman and Nathan Sobotka.
