Hog Island Beer Company was founded in Orleans, Massachusetts in 2012 by Mike McNamara. In 2017, Dave McCleary came on as a partner in the business. The company purchased nearby brewery Mayflower Brewing and later Cape Cod Brewing in 2025, and reorganized under the Triton Beverage Group parent company.
