Lervig Bryggeri was founded in Stavanger, Norway in 2003 by Kristoffer Stensrud. The Stensrud family held a 67.25% interest in the company until 2018, when half of Lervig was sold to American private equity firm Orkila Capital for $15 million. That company is now the largest shareholder, with the other 50% being held by the holding company LAB HoldCo AS, which is comprised of the Stensrud family and other minority shareholders.
