Mother Earth Brewing was founded in 2010 in Vista, California by brothers Daniel and Jon Love and Kamron Khannakhjavani. It was originally based out of 2200 square foot industrial space next to a homebrew store, but in 2012 they brought on more family partners and expanded to a larger brewery they called the Tap House in Vista. That location closed in 2020 due to the pandemic, but the original brewery remains.

The brewery also opened another brewhouse in Nampa, Idaho in 2016 to serve all markets outside of Southern California, and in 2021 it was followed by a taproom in nearby Boise close to Boise State University. The brand is now available in 20 different states, as well as in the UK, Australia, and Mexico.
