Odell Brewery was created in 1989 in Fort Collins, Colorado. The brand was founded by Doug, Wynne, and Corkie Odell. In 1994, they expanded to an 8,000 foot facility, and began packaging their beer in bottles two years later. In 2015, the Odells sold 51% of their stock to three senior executives in the brewery, with another 19% going to an employee stock ownership plan. The brewery now claims to be 100% employee-owned.
