O’Hara’s Beer was created by Carlow Brewing Company in Bagenalstown, County Carlow, Ireland, in 1996. The company was founded by Seamus O’Hara, and has since expanded to acquire Boyne Brewhouse and the Craigie’s Cider brand. In 2017, O’Hara sold a 32% stake in the business to Spanish company Hijos de Rivera, which has since expanded to a 36.5% stake in the company.
