Peace Tree Brewing Company was founded in Knoxville, Iowa in 2009 by Megan McKay. In the summer of 2024, the operations were shuttered, and in November of that year the brand was purchased by Backpocket Brewing. The following year, the parent company became known as Parallel Brewing Collective.
