Salopian Brewery was founded in Shrewsbury, England in 1994 by Martin Barry. It was originally known as Snowdonia Brewery, before rebranding the following year. In 2004, Barry sold the brewery to Mark Hill, and in 2024 managers of the company including Trevor Hourican and Wilf Nelson became shareholders in the business.
