Tilray Buys 4 Craft Brands from Molson Coors
August 13, 2024 – Tilray Brands has once again added to its rapidly expanding portfolio, with the acquisition of four brands from Molson Coors‘ Tenth & Blake craft division. The cannabis and beer company will pick up Hop Valley Brewing Company, Revolver Brewing, Terrapin Beer Co, and Atwater Brewery.
`The move comes less than a year after Tilray purchased 8 different brands from Anheuser-Busch InBev for a reported $85 million, and only weeks after an earnings report revealed that the alcohol business has now surpassed Tilray’s cannabis portfolio in revenue. The firm only operates its cannabis branch in Canada, where Tilray is headquartered.
The deal appears to be the end of the Tenth & Blake division, as most of the brands in the portfolio are sold off with the deal. Molson Coors’ Saint Archer was shuttered in 2022, and the company says their AC Golden brand will also wind down operations by the end of next month.
The deal is expected to close on August 31st. Financial terms were not immediately disclosed. Tilray’s full statement is below
