North American Food Distributing Company was founded in West Sacramento, California in 1947 by Richard, Edward, and Flu Hitoshi Inaba. The company started as an importer of Japanese food, but in 2020 found it difficult to import Japanese beer due to the supply shortages caused by the covid pandemic. As a result, the company founded their own brewery, Onibi Brewing.
