Great River Brewery was founded in Iowa City, Iowa in 2004 by Paul Krutzfeldt. In 2008, the company moved to Davenport, and shut down in 2019 after flooding from the Mississippi River destroyed the brewery. In 2024, he sold the brand to Scott Florence, who reopened the brewery.
