DreadHop Brewing was founded in 2014 by Charles Mackenzie in Christ Church, Barbados, originally as The Brewhouse. He originally brewed out of a small 200 liter electric system in a 40ft shipping container, but in 2019 he expanded the operation to a 2,000 liter system nextdoor. In the process, he renamed the brewery DreadHop.
