What does TEMPO BEER INDUSTRIES Own?
Tempo Beverages was created in 1952 in Tel Aviv, Israel by Moshe Bornstein and Yaakov Tabori. The pair had recently immigrated to Israel, and understood the opportunity to market cold drinks in the hot climate. The company steadily expanded, and in 1985 purchased Leumit Brewery, manufacturers of Goldstar. In 1992, the company began distributing Heineken in the country, and as part of the deal Heineken took a 40% interest in Tempo Beverages.
